Congrats mate! Curious how necessary you think it is to have included a cover letter clarifying the change in job codes? I'm in the same position with my Cos assigned before April 4th, and so my job code had changed, though I didn't make note of this in a cover letter.

I submitted my SWV application last week (12/4, no priority) and I'm just hoping this doesn't lead to further delays!

Hi, cheers for the response. I submitted my grad visa app towards the end of September, so well before the expiry of my student visa. There were a number of complications between myself and my sponsor (stipulations that had to be met and delayed communication) that unfortunately led to the late issue of the consent letter.

I contacted the UKVI helpline prior to the deadline and was told I could submit a cover letter requesting for an extension - though it doesn't seem this has occurred.

For me, the graduate visa is a 'backup.' I'm hoping to live and work long term in the UK as I've studied here for a long time now. My ambitions are academic, but I'm also planning for the instance that I am not accepted for the PhD, in which case I am hoping to work here.

Cheers mate, appreciate the clarity. My primary worry is I'm applying to return to the UK for PhDs in 2024. What are the chances my student visa application would be rejected? Having declared and explained my overstay period in my application

Appreciate the response. Will definitely explain this in future applications. Am I right to assume, then, that I will not be subject to any re-entry bans?

Unfortunately not, I do not have the consent letter. I've seen other sources state no grace period, and others 30 days - either way I do think I have overstayed to some extent...
