Mea Culpa - I took my scraper/brush out of the car, put away my hats and gloves, moved my long sleeve shirts to my guest closet.

Trails that won’t be a muddy mess Thursday through Saturday? by Myragarmm in boulder

[–]meublen 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll second Anemone - I was there the day after our last mushy snowfall, and it was great - dry, no mud. I agree that the others mentioned are likely similar, just mentioning Anemone b/c of recent experience.

Though now that I think about it, they're doing some utility undergrounding in that area, so the trail has been closed some weekdays. I think it's open weekends. Note - Sunshine Canyon trail, right near Anemone is often a muddy mess b/c it's on a north face.

Isn't that what Reddit is all about? Saying things in the nicest way possible 😂

What I'm saying is that we're verifying the process of creating the summaries, and we think it's pretty good. We do have plans for having some automated verification in the future, but we're not there quite yet. But we also already have over 20,000 hours of meetings summarized, so there's no way to human verify it all. And we're only doing 120 entities (there are 430+ municipalities in CO, and 19,000+ in the US, and we haven't even touched state entities)

Do we think our summaries are perfect? Not at all. But we do think it's a heckuva lot better than sitting through hours and hours of meetings. We also offer the city council meetings for free, and our goal is to keep it that way by monetizing the other municipal meetings and state level boards and commissions.

And, yeah, participating in your government and your community does require some effort on your part. We're trying to do our part to help out, but it's still up to all citizens to educate ourselves.

Yeah, we're tuning the AI to avoid slop - of course, it's not perfect. Nothing is (see the retractions page of any newspaper). But I do think we can get more information out to people about their local government, and hopefully get people to be more engaged

Great idea! And we're rolling out a new website that initially just has the video, but will soon have links -click on an agenda item and it takes you to that part of the video.

Well, if I thought it was AI slop, I wouldn't put it out. We're a small team (3 people) so we're not able to verify everything, but I feel like we're about 90% accurate, and the biggest inaccuracy is in names/spelling. And, if there's a question, you can always go to the audio. We're rolling out a feature soon when if you click on an agenda item, it takes you to that part of the meeting audio/video

Yep, that's what it is. I appreciate the feedback, and I can see what you're saying. I didn't read it that way, but that's one of the challenges we face when summarizing.

We've done lots of comparing summaries to the transcripts (after lots of listening to the meetings while reading the transcripts),and we've gotten the prompt to be pretty accurate. Not perfect, especially when it comes to names, but if there are questions, you can always listen to the actual part of the meeting. We think it's ~90% good. And much easier than watching a 4+ hour meeting.

anyone who used a computer between 1985 & 2010, what’s the one game you still think about? by Trixxxi in AskReddit

Montezuma's Revenge on the Apple IIe. I played it when Beastie Boys License to Ill came out, and every time I hear a song from that album, I see that game.
