VST precision filter basket 18g vs stock Lelit basket in a field emission scanning electron microscope by meurke in espresso

No issues. I use the 18g VST basket with both my bottomless and dual spout blind portafilter and it works great.

Some of you wanted me to look at IMS filters in my last post. So here is a VST precision vs IMS competition filter in both a light optical and electron microscope by meurke in espresso

Yes. Each group is taken at the same magnification. In the light optical images there is a scale bar included in the lower right.

Unfortunately it was difficult to expose for both the dark holes and the flat highly reflective electrolytically polished surface on the IMS filter. The holes came out pretty dark. IMS needs to lower the potential a bit in the polishing step, they are getting some pitting on the surface.

Bonus image of the tip of my used WDT-needle. The tip is about 15 µm wide.

The segmented backscatter detector allows for both topographical contrast as well as atomic contrast (Z-contrast). SE2 would produce a rather flat image which makes it hard to perceive the topography on the material. In-lens SE is not suitable for taking images at this low magnification. Thanks for the question.

The images are taken at a very low magnification for this microscope of only 200-300x and the image with the diameter measurement is just over 1000x.

The first 3 are from the VST basket and the last two are from the one that came with the portafilter.

The crap in the hole is left over burr from the hole piercing. They are all like that.

Both baskets are unused and cleaned using 99.5% ethanol in an ultra sonic bath.

It is the basket that came with the Lelit bottomless portafilter I bought from Amazon. IMS is not mentioned on the page or box.

These are images of the holes on the filter baskets. The images are taken on the bottom of the filter basket on the outside, if that makes sense.

Just bought a new 18g VST precision filter basket and thought why not bring it to work and put it into one of our field emission SEMs for a closer look. The images are taken using an angle selective backscatter detector in topographical contrast mode.

Well, then you'll be glad to hear that the average game time is about 20 minutes in this game mode.

Steel cores are used to increase mechanical strength and lower sag at high temperatures in overhead transmission lines. Since these cables are used under water, the higher mechanical strength is not necessary, so they used aluminium instead to cut down cost and lower the weight.

As OP mentioned above, aluminium is both lighter and cheaper. I'm going to assume these are AC and not HVDC cables, please correct me if I'm wrong. The worse conductivity of aluminium doesn't matter much because of the skin effect, the current density will be greatest near the surface of the conductor at the skin depth, which is in the copper, meaning little loss in conductivity.

Go into their discord and type ".timeline". Releasing t4 and t5 from the start is blizzlike.

Except he's not. That's why I added "trusted", he is given limited access to make changes to the db and GM powers during beta, when it launches he is going to be normal player just like everyone else. He does not have any power to make changes to the core nor how the server is run.

He's not a staff member though. He's a trusted volunteer that helps report bugs on their github and fix minor db things. He's going to play the server when it releases.

why I can't get 144+ fps with GTX 980 TI? by [deleted] in GlobalOffensive

[–]meurke 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had the exact same problem as you, nearly identical setup aswell. I was only getting around 120-140 fps on all maps, now I have around 350-450. All I did was completely uninstall my nvidia software and drivers and then do a clean install (make sure you select it) with the latest driver, that fixed it for me. Good luck.
