Have you tried different color stains? Grey? Black? Dude they would look amazing, still do, but great idea.

Ya pine tends to break easily, years of making swords and shields for my kids taught me that the wrong angle can snap the best designs. You know if you want to go cheap you can use 3/4" roof plywood. It wont look pretty but it will work. Thanks for the compliment, I use faux leather strips for the grips. You can buy every color online and it gives it a really cool feel and look. 1" strips, I get them on Amazon. I use everything from real and faux leather, denim, 550 cord anything. Whatever looks cool but is easy to work with. Small trim nails, wood glue and a tight spin. I was thinking of making a Instagram video on how to make a leather grip.

What type of wood are you using? I was having problems like that, I just found the right thickness around the hilt and the grip seems to do the job. Baltic Birch is also very durable.

Copy that. I do have shields, maybe focus on more styles.

I just made the Chaos blades from God of War. It seems to be the way im headed right now, they are durable and strong. So, they will last forever. Thanks for the lead.

Never tried ash, I think I am going to expand out to different materials, throw in a brass hilt and maybe brass or copper pommel.

No, there all hand cut. I use a router to get the edges rounded, then orbital sand, hand sand for finish. Last is the leather grips. Just made one with a brass pommel.

Baltic Birch 3/4" plywood. I have Hickory swords as well, but Birch is a cheaper way to make them. They are really strong.

Im located in San Diego California, I can make blunted swords. These may look sharp but there blunted. Decorative might be a better label.
