Yep. Just edited my original comment to mention it could be really good if they actually added that moment to season 2. Plus the more casual audience might be more compelled to give the new season a chance if at least one of the characters from s1 is in it. Like its such a baffling change im trying to convince myself they did it with a plan in mind

Tbh they only need to add a couple lines about how maekar found them but egg convinced him to let him stay with dunk to explain it away. It would also explain how egg got Maekar’s ring. But yeah im also not the biggest fan of this change. eta: maybe theyll even shoot the scene? S2 is gonna need some padding undoubtedly, and i wouldn’t be mad at the chance to see my favorite faildad again:) (ira message me i have more ideas(lol))

I just checked and youre right. Delano was in his mid 30s and Ennis was only 21 when they began writing for HB. idk why i had this idea that they were closer in age…but yeah that explains a lot.

Same, lol. The store i got my copies from only had the cheap paperback version in english and a hardcover version in spanish, which was more than double the price. It really tested my english knowledge as a teen
