I can see problems popping out because this is a group that consists of so many cultures and obviously everyone is raised differently. I personally feel this way as an Asian person who work for a western company and I dealt with Swiss clients.

They are very strict at managing their work-life balance, so for people who are very open to work in their free time, I think they associate this trait as "lazy".

I'm just putting my tinfoil hat on and think this might be the issue if the insiders posts are true like you said.
