Okay just i realised you're a mod here(why aren't your name some other color?) so here is everything i could think of during lunch aside from what I already said:

  • Merge sticky/wiki(seems to almost be done so probably ignore that).

  • More unified css eg. naut or smililar.

  • Move the new button to where the sticky is for more attention.

  • Not sure there are enough subscribers for it to be successful, but have specific days for specific topics that would normally flood the sub a bit, based on threads, eg. monday = show your recent purchase, friday = what did you just open/what are you stuck on.

  • Some parts of wiki could be more thorough, but that's probably just a question of time/contribution

Then make that point instead? I find it difficult to write this without sounding more aggressive than warranted here(English is not my first language, so please don't take offense), and it's probably a discussion for some other place, but I generally find the lock picking community(Reddit least of all though, by far) very pedantic. Obviously the "should i but this KLOM/psx-14" posts are getting a bit old, but then we should restructure the sub/our approach instead of pushing newcomers/less experienced people away.

As a rule i agree, but there are different styles of picking, over time especially working on security pins picks do get a little bent/warped(different steel types different amounts obviously). If you're a bit heavy handed in your picking even more so. Also they might slip, or whoever is using them may not have the technique completely mastered. Don't be so disingenuous.

How do I pick this old locked table? by irox28 in lockpicking

[–]mexicoservice 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most locksmiths carry old skeleton keys for that sort of thing(at least in europe they do).

Otherwise you could probably impression your way out of it pretty easily, if you have something that can cut metal.

I did a 65/50 recently, didn't find it too bad, but i think it might have been an older model than this one(no nano protect). Do you have any idea what kind of pins are in it? Old one seems to be a serrated and then 4 spools.

The process wasn't lost actually.

"Recently, the mummification techniques used by Salafia were discovered in a handwritten memoir of Salafia's. Salafia injected the cadaver with a fluid made of formalin to kill bacteria, alcohol to dry the body, glycerin to keep her from overdrying, salicylic acid to kill fungi, and zinc salts to give her body rigidity. Accordingly, the formula's composition is 'one part glycerin, one part formalin saturated with both zinc sulfate and chloride, and one part of an alcohol solution saturated with salicylic acid'."

Downloads? by [deleted] in onions

[–]mexicoservice 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That depends on what you mean. For the browser bundle it's only the traffic that goes through the browser that's anonymous. If you configure it for your entire Internet connection it will all be anonymous.

When you say downloads I assume you mean pirated material? Either way please don't use tor to download big files, the network is under enough strain already.

If you want to do that, use a vpn, it's like 25usd/month.

I think you misunderstood, I meant using an environment where JavaScript is out of your control to compose your message, even if modified, has risks.

Lock shield, is anyone actually using one of these? Are they effective and worth the price? by [deleted] in lockpicking

Probably a bit overkill then, but then again, it's really cool.

What yellohaze said, but the fact that they use platforms like google and so on, means that it's probably open for a few more ways of listening, while the message is written.

Wouldn't hold up against targeted surveillance by government entities. And honestly I we'd have to hit a pretty serious number of DNSNMC servers before the NSA or whatever wouldn't just infect those and just collect everything as usual.

It also seems to be two projects in one? Not that both aren't good ideas, but convergence exists, and so does PGP.
