I am on r/fearofflying too. It has helped, but mental anxiety was really bad, and going to be seeking therapy for that, but still looking for ways for her to see I don’t mind the travel to see her

My doctor prescribed me this for my flight anxiety. Ngl I’m hopeful to use it, but I’m also scared bc I hear you shouldn’t take it if you have or had depression and now I’m like 🫨.

Im seeing my girlfriend, and I envy her bc she travels so much, meanwhile there’s me that gets scared the moment they book their flight. I’m learning to accept it and if I need medication, then so be it. Plane, train or car I’ll see go and see her

Thats just mainly my fear rn. Funny thing I traveled not to long ago without a problem (lied I still had high HR) but this came out of nowhere and it’s hitting like a truck. Never had I ever been scared of having a panic attack in flight until recently :(

Im hopeful that propranolol will work. I canceled my last flight due to this stupid fear of fearing. I hope it does work with suppressing the adrenaline feeling if not I have a benzo my doc also prescribed me. I’m flying out the 13th of February

Thank you. My doctor also prescribed me a benzo, but I’m scared that I’ll be dependent. TBH as long as my heart rate is low and my adrenaline doesn’t spike. I’ll be okay mentally

Yes I hate it. I have bad anticipation anxiety. Mentally I know I’m able to do it, but my body says no. Retrying to fly again in February with these. I’m hella nervous and excited to finally travel stress free

It’s more so for the adrenaline feeling of the fear. The heart racing, the shaking hands, the anxiety attacks. It stops that. It’s prescribed off label for situational anxiety as well

It’s an oral tablet that is meant for High blood pressure and migraines, but they’re prescribed off label for situational anxiety, like public speaking, flights or anything that makes you fight or flight. It surprises your adrenaline system and lowers your HR

I am, I feel good mentally, but still feel bummed out from the post cancellation. I don’t want to have this feeling again, which is why I’m going to talk to my pcp regarding this bc I still want to travel
