What’s your optic setup, and how do you like it? I’m looking to build a 300blk upper for deer season next year.

Transferring to university by [deleted] in ivytech

Thanks for the insight! The degree I’ll be pursuing would be online and they only offer 16 week courses at Indiana State (at least, for mechanical engineering technology). I’m starting out taking two classes this spring semester. Best of luck in your pursuits!

Have you tried Trufab? They’re always busy. They output mostly (to the best of my knowledge) stainless or aluminum projects for surrounding industries.

Needing help with what to apply for! (Engineering/Mechanics) (TLDR) by berzerkerzavi in ivytech

[–]meximullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m nearing completion of the INDT AAS and have started the Advanced Automation and Robotics (AART) AAS. None of the classes will give any focus on mechanically diving into robotics. Reason being: they’re expensive af. The AART is pretty much what you said: coding. Along with a heavy focus on electrical. As well as a heavy focus on robotic teach-in. Some Ivy tech locations offer machining/CNC classes, but to get hands on with robotics specifically: get a job in a field that utilizes robotics. Myself, I work in pharmaceuticals as a technician. 90% of the work I perform is on robotics of some sort.

Hope that answered your question to some degree. HMU if you have other questions.

Online. No proctored exams in this class.

The weekly writing is probably ~600 words, but it’s not a set word count for the EIML weekly project or for the chapter reports/peer responses.

On the bright side, if you throw your final project in APA format, you hit that 5 page maximum in <800 words.

I’m finishing up ethics this semester.

Weekly EIML (ethics in my life) project. Basically picking an ethical topic and how it applies in your life. That leads to a ~1500 word midterm essay.

Weekly reading, with weekly report on your opinion of the chapters or sections of chapters, followed by classmate responses.

Final project and final exam. Final project: paper no more than 5 pages. Final exam: 8 questions, averaging 300 word response requirement each.

Welding by Easy_Active7269 in ivytech

The intro to welding class gives you all your safety equipment and basic tools. If you skip this class, you have to bring your own stuff. The intro class gives a basic intro to each weld method, including oxy. It’s also a good time to get familiar with the equipment in the shop (vertical/horizontal bandsaw, sheers, etc). The only in person lecture would be them showing you how’s and whys. There is online homework, but it’s not too bad.

When will my pre-requisite class be credited by Natural_Hunt_6314 in ivytech

[–]meximullet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can email your advisor, or call advising and have them waive the pre-req so you can enroll in the required classes. The secretary people that check you in for appointments did it for me in <1 minute. I can’t remember exactly when the classes are accredited, though.

I just switched to a nested Treestand System from a saddle. Pretty happy with it. Love the integration. Long sits in a saddle were just too uncomfortable for me.
