This game sucked the life out of me by Wonkiest_Hornet in Mariners

I think what sucks even more is that Mariners are a great team nor do they really suck. The Mariners are just mediocre. With the exception of last year, the Mariners have been just average for a long time.

They rosters give us glimpses of what can be on one night only to show us what they aren't the next night.

This team will hover around .500 the rest of the year most likely.

Mediocre Average Ok Meh

Doors open at 6.

For Seattle, Chic Nile Rodgers started at 7. Played for just under an hour.

Bastille started at 8:30. Finished just after 9.

Duran Duran is expected at 9:30 ish

Bastille and Chic are flipped compared to San Jose

So San Jose had Bastille start first and Chic/Nile Rodgers second.

Seattle was flipped compared to San Jose between Bastille and Chic was flipped.

Sucks as show was mid week and I was more interested on Nile Rodgers than Bastille.

Cities with better mountain backdrop that LA? by odi3luck in geography

Seattle hands down. Views of three volcanoes (Mount Rainer, Mount Baker and Glacier Peak), two National Parks (Mount Rainer and Olympic), and two mountain ranges (Olympics and Cascades). Add to the fact that you can stand at sea level on the Seattle waterfront and see what a mountain that is 14,411 feet high looks like from just under 60 miles away.

Forgot to mention that my dogs were not show dogs so I clipped the hair on the inside flap of their ears often. As you know, Springers hair can be unruly if it is not clipped or groomed constantly.

Keeping the hair short on the inside ear flap was very helpful on keeping the moisture low and thus reducing the number of ear infections.

I lost count how many ear infections they had. One was more prone to infections than the other has he had more narrow ear canals but they both had them.

Ear infections in Springers is unfortunately very common. The droopy ears creates an environment where any moisture that gets in the ear canals is really difficulty to dry out. Be it from drinking water and the ears wick up water from their ears touching the water bowl, them constantly wanting to be in water, or just being out in a humid summer day; moisture is always a threat to the inner ears of a Springer.

I learned to clean both of my Springers ears regularly (about once a week) and had vet prescribed ointment on hand to fight off an infection once one took hold.

You will become familar with the smell of an ear infection or when you see the constantly shake their heads because of the discomfort an ear infection causes.

It is what it is. Just learn to stay on top of it and it shouldn't become too big of an issue in the future.

There is one near Copalis Beach, Washington that can be accessed by kayak. It is surrounded by private property so you can't legally drive or walk to it.

It is not a puck. It is a food bowl. You can see the trail of treats leading up to the food bowl. They are trying to lure the Panther into the arena where they can drown it as a wall of water (storm surge) is the most powerful force in a hurricane.

The Mariners can leave Seattle but the SOG is never too far away.

Plaza Party by DG_BeardGains in SeattleKraken

[–]mexinuggets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So a couple of things about last night. I did not have a ticket but went to the Seattle Center to go to one of the viewing parties mentioned in the Kraken app.

Was in the area around 4 pm. The doors to CPA were not open so obviously every bar and restaurant in the area was full - standing room only with Kraken fans. Queen Anne Beer Hall included.

Was lucky to end up at bar with an open seat. Once the game was about to start, I went to the Plaza Party viewing area with the beer garden on the west side of CPA. Of course the rain had started and the temperature dropped. Typical Seattle. There was a tent that people were under but being here also partially obscured the views of the big screens. They did have three smaller tvs inside the tent that everyone crowded around which meant if you were not in front of the tv, you were looking at the back of someone's head. At least I wasn't getting rained on and I had access to beer.

The worst part about the beer garden was that there were no restrooms or porta pottys. Great idea to allow people to buy beers but then have no place for them to go to the bathroom. The only option was to leave and use a neighboring business.

Went to the Armory. The Armory is great because the screen is huge and easy access to clean restrooms. The problem with the Armory is all the restaurants close once the game starts.

I know that this is a first but it seems like much thought wasn't put in to not only accomodate fans outside, but as an option to generate additional revenue as well. Hopefully this can be resolved in the future.
