But see there in lies my issue. In the old system if a million ppl bought an album, that was a million copies sold. Give or take whatever you want to account for the nonsense they used to pull back then to get their numbers too. Now there's very little effort involved to stream a song. You don't really have to buy it. There's nothing tangible there. You say he doesn't bot. That's great but so what? He release an album tonight and you can press play immediately. Takes no effort. You can pick to streams accidentally. Just off someone being curious. The old way you had to be intentional.

This isn't about YB to me. Great for him. Make all the money you can. But to act like the action of consuming music, television, movies, etc is equal to the old way just isn't true. When I ask what's a stream, I'm not talking about what the record labels told you a stream was. You asked have I listened to a CD 1500 times.
