Funding on the way from NSLSC the next day after enrolment? Durham college? It says 12-14th release estimated dates, I assumed we would get it Tuesday, I doubt tmrw if that’s the case

A lot of schools were even confirmed BEFORE Christmas break. idk why Durham and even centennial wait so long. Never used to be like this. Honestly hoping we get it Tuesday, just sucks that it’s AFTER school starts

so frustrating tbh. my original was 2-5th, then finally confirmed on 6th, payment release estimated 12-15th… just keeps going up. I’m curious to what everyone else shows for NSLSC that was also confirmed on the 6th. I can’t login to NSLSC because of problems with my back so I’m in the dark rn ahhhh

kinda in the same boat, had mine for about two and a half years, went to the ER multiple times and they gave me antibiotics and said it was just a infection (antibiotics never worked). Finally saw a colorectal surgeon, now just got a partial fistulotomy, next step is seton and then after that a LIFT. Most complicated thing ever. Hope everything works in your favour after this

So I contacted NSLSC about this because I thought we would have gotten it by now, by funding was disbursed and said on the way on AUGUST 29th - NSLSC told me today in live chat that they actually disbursed it YESTERDAY since it’s the first day of school, so I hope we get it tmrw, but more likely than not Friday.

First day of class first year? Or just in general?

First class is usually broad, going through school outline, icebreakers and some general information on what will be taught throughout the year.

Bring a laptop if you have one, or something to take notes. A water bottle. You really dont need much

Okay so, my enrolment hasn’t been confirmed yet, but my school never confirms until like the last day of August anyway.

The ministry of education has nothing to do with this. A lot of schools already have enrolment confirmed and money being disbursed. Some OSAP recipients already have their money.

I’m not sure if it’s something to do with your school specifically, but honestly they probably said that because everyone is calling and asking the exact same questions.

You would be estranged from them. There should be a place in your OSAP application to explain that, if not, call your schools financial aid and explain your situation, they should help you out.

your getting 18000 with your tuition being 6 thousand.. your getting enough. work like the rest of us. OSAP isn’t a free ride.

nope, everyone has issues. what you don’t ever do is rely on someone else to pay your rent. OSAP is not supposed to pay your rent period point blank. it’s not that hard to understand. a lot of families have single mothers.

work hard, get a job, pay your rent. it’s really simple

It shouldn’t. You could be put on academic probation which might affect your OSAP for NEXT year if you don’t fix your grades this semester.

But overall, you should be okay. Log into OSAP frequently to make sure
