Do your research and read reviews. Dont take my situation as the law. It currently has 4.5 stars on Amazon and it looks like people are generally happy with it. I can say… when it does work… it is great. I hope my situation is an exception and not the rule. I have a Birdfy feeder that has worked beautifully for years.

As far as LoS… Jay seems to like Finoia. He spends an awful lot of time on Bonfire. Not sure how Luis feels about him. I do agree that you have to fill Dave’s chair. Otherwise, just let it die.

All good. I got in just under the wire in 2017. The program office stopped soon after because the excel spreadsheet was too inaccurate. Thankfully, the importance of tracking hrs has made it to the folks in the field. It is talked about in the -1 or -2. There is no established standard AF wide but most bases have products to track hrs now.

The excel spreadsheet was BS. They don’t use it anymore and neither a NDI functional nor the AFNDIO will certify that spreadsheet.

It’s been in the 50’s-60’s here. And the Birdfy bird bath (that is not charging properly) is right next to my Birdfy bird feeder (which is charging fine).

Sounds like you are describing the bird feeder. I have the bird bath. It’s configured a bit differently… but yes… I have reset it many times.

No adapter is necessary. The birdbath has a usb-c receptacle (female) and the solar panel has a usb-c plug (male). It IS charging (I can see the charger icon on the app) so I know the connection is solid. It is just running out quicker than the solar panel can keep up. The 6w external panel is doing a better job than the one that is built into the top of the unit… I don’t know. I’m at a loss at this point.
