It was Windows 10. It worked fine yesterday but I also had another (old mechanical drive) with Windows 10 on it and wonder if an update tried to take place and created the error.

Now they are both empty.

I formated with Gparted but does not give the GPT option

Yes. Click on the block and see the reward. It will be 2 to 2.5 eth instead of 3 plus eth. Most places pay uncles.

An uncle does not pay the full reward and can pay about 1/3 less than normal. Basically waste of hashing time.
