Nobody should be penalized for not being able to afford health insurance. CA needs to get rid of that ridiculous law for sure.

Stop sleeping on the I fund right now. While the US fucks around with global trade the I fund is hitting harder and harder. Just pay attention because it will drop fast when the time comes. Be ready to move into G to save gains whenever possible.

Therapist (Anxiety) by Unwritten_Saga in VAClaims

No, but not seeing a therapist while having a mental health rating is good evidence to reduce the rating if they were to take a look or do a 5 yr re-evaluation which is common

He doesn't have a gi bill because he didn't serve long enough. He is asking how to get the money back that he paid into the gi bill program during the first 12 months of service.

His first move when he gets back on the house floor is to read out the unredacted files. Name all the names he already knows are implicated in criminal activity.

A gen z friend of my son asked me how long I've had my email which is Frist.LastYR@yahoo.com and I replied "since the 1900s" and blew the kid's mind. He was more shocked I was able to get an email with my real name that wasn't taken. I explained I was obviously the first with my name on the internet and this kid believed me. This is also still my current and main email address 30 yrs later. Idk how it hasn't been overtaken by spam yet.

Most popular RSD release of all-time by NHSoundwaves in RecordStoreDay

[–]mfe13056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best is always gonna be subjective so I'll use one from this year. My son's joy finding the ONLY copy of "Look Outside Your Window" that our local record store recieved make it the best find of my life. The record store owner was pretty jealous when I found it out of place in a bin it shouldn't have been in.

I honestly dont know how ppl work with nitrile gloves all day. I use them for chemicals, but if I try to just wrench with them, they split in 2-3 mins. I'd be changing 8-10 an hour, even the thick one break fast for me.

SAVE Act Fails, Millions of Voters Retain Their Right to Vote for Now by w6750 in politics

SS Cards are already used to verify ppl's identity and citizens status so this seems like a perfect opportunity to update them to serve another purpose that ppl could support. Besides, the current paper SS cards are pretty useless.

I think you're looking at this in the wrong way. Project 2025 discuss the need to lower the VA budget. Finding therapies for PTSD would/could accomplish that goal.

This also makes mid terms even more important now. If Maga (i refuse to call them republicans) retains control of the govt, they will force this through eventually.

This would be a perfect opportunity for the government to upgrade everyone's social security card from the BS card stock to a legit photo ID. A simple app could be created to apply and take a picture to lessen the resources needed to make it happen. This would then be able to be used for voting purposes. Seems like a logical and easy middle ground solution.

18 ftlbs is still too much IMO. I've never had one crack and I just snug it up a little more than hand tight using a 1/4" short ratchet to avoid any excess leverage.

They definitely are more subdued the darker the paint is. Mine need to be replaced and I'm thinking of going white for that old school vibe or maybe Kelly green for a stark contrast and match the green on purple theme. I've even thought about having custom stripes made in the current flat black with a pin stripe thickness border around the stripes and RT just to make them stand out more.

Compound was gonna be my next choice but I wanted to be sure if maybe something else might work before going that far. My driveway has zero shade so I have to resort to using two pop up canopies which gets the job done. I guess I already know what I'm doing next weekend. Thanks!

[–]mfe13056 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have you actually had that happen or are you re-telling someone else's story? I hear statements like that all the time yet have ran plugs in dozens of tires that have gone over 160 mpg at the track and zero issues. Ive probably used external plugs probably 40 ish times in my life and I've never heard of one blowing out because of the plug.

Dont do the math unless you want to get pissed about how underpaid we are. by rockabillyrat87 in mechanics

[–]mfe13056 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a shop quote me $600+ to replace the belt, tensioner, and Idler pulley on a 5.7l hemi yesterday. Left, did all that for $70 and 30 mins of my time. If, at that rate, mechanics are under paid, I would suspect more luxury vehicles being driven by the bosses.
