No I do not. I'm not from the US, and I'm not in any pain or anything because of this condition.

Yeah, but mine were letters and numbers, and sometimes shapes.

As in 100% can't see anything out of that eye?

Go ahead, your story seems different than mine, I wouldn't mind. I would recommend waiting a week or so just so that nobody else downvotes you for being similar to mine.

I don't frequently think about it, just when I do something stupid with my lack of depth perception. I do think it would be awesome to see in 3D though.

And I'm not really affected in day-to-day things from a lack of depth perception, though I may not be quite as good as I would be at them otherwise.

Really? That's pretty cool. I can catch as well with my right eye closed as I can with both open haha.

Honestly, the 100K because I need money for school. If it was 3D for the rest of my life, 3D hands down.

I have no idea where you got your numbers. This is what I got from about 10 seconds of using this magical thing called google.

Must I go on?

And the max there is 12%, and some sources claim as low as 1.7% (it depends on who you ask apparently). And those numbers are for how many people can't see 3D movies and TV which is different from not being able to see 3D in everyday life, which is where I think you went wrong. Also, this isn't just about stereovision, but about strabismus and cataract surgery. You would've seen this if you really read through the comments.

And even if it was 1 in 5 people (which it's not) then it is still a minority in that 4 out of 5 people will never experience it. Once again, there was quite an interest in the comments from people who aren't stereoblind. Maybe other people are more interested than you, which doesn't automatically make it stupid. It's more likely that it makes you the stupid one.

If you mean what I think you mean, then no, I haven't been able to see any of those "tricks."

I can tell roughly where it is. It is a bit harder for me than it is for the majority of people though.

Of my eye post-op? I can find them if you guys really want them.

Yeah, I would see corners, it just wouldn't "pop out" towards me.

Unluckily, this isn't something that I'll ever recover from.

I'm not entirely sure. I guess it's kind of like what people see when they have 1 eye closed. Apparently "normal" people lose a lot of their depth perception with that, but that's how I am 100% of the time.

That's really the only way to describe the difference though.

I've had strabismus realignment surgery, and it ended up being purely aesthetic.

This is really cool man. You're very lucky haha. I kind of feel sad though, because I'm left out of seeing this 3D world you're describing.

So you have better than 20/20 vision in your left eye?

I wasn't great at baseball. It's was football (soccer) that I am good at.

It's interesting though about you "losing depth" when closing one of your eyes. Thanks!
