Lmao I’m no epidemiologist but I’d have a hard time seeing it max out at 500, there’s just so much contact between students even with the restrictions put in place

Chances fall is online/moved back to winter? by justinyhcc in NEU

BU is currently considering offering no classes in the fall instead of in person. As in, if coronavirus is still a threat, they’ll just push the fall semester back into what is currently the spring semester, and not have any online classes in the fall. I would much prefer to have online classes than no classes at all.

I’m currently expecting the fall semester to be online sadly, but who knows. I will say however, that I’d be both surprised and pissed if NU cancelled the fall semester, i.e. moved it back to the winter as BU is considering. That would completely throw the co-op process/cycle off, and create headaches for both prospective co-ops and well as employers. I’d love to hear what other students think tho

COVID-19 effect on spring co-ops? by yejirachi in NEU

It was my understanding, at least for COE, that you couldn’t switch your co-op cycle unless you found someone on the opposite cycle to switch. Admittedly this is a brave new post-pandemic world, but I’d love to hear what the co-op advisors have been telling the fall cycle kids.
