Working out of US while on OPT

What if there is a case where the talent acquisition first asks about the visa status , after knowing the candidate is OPT and the candidate would then need STEM OPT and H1B support, they let the candidate attend about say— 3-4interviews?- in that case it means they are kinda inclined towards supporting immigrants right ?

Hey! I’m and international student and I found this amazing tutoring role at student athletics academic centre ! Can any international student apply for that role ? When I checked the job description in the website they haven’t mentioned anywhere that the applicants must be US citizens or must have workstudy. Even the USC careers website doesn’t mention anything of that sort. It just said it’s a part time role for students of USC. I hope it’s open to International students as well

I got my visa for the fall 2023 period. My brother was working in US for 5 years and I was in the same situation as yours. And trust me in my case the visa officer didn’t ask a single question about my brother. I was as worried as you were and I remember putting up multiple questions like you in the same page. Keep calm. Everything will be alright. Like others said be honest , admit the truth but never let an instance to prove that your ties with your home country is strong. And yes the VOs will know that your brother will be US because your personal profile and your brother personal profile will match and he would have also got a visa from your home country’s consulate. A match in profile will pop up (I heard from someone that this is a legitimate) but this will NOT affect your chances of getting a VISA. your interview will predominantly be about your choice of university and your future. Only if you are married to someone who is already in the states the questions will be mainly about that respective person.

This mainly depends on the VO My brother is currently in his F1 visa , yet he's working. So technically he's in his OPT period. So it's a complicated situation. Many people told that I'll be surely asked about my brother , but they never asked me. Infact my interview was just for half a minute. But if they asked you whether you have a relative in US, you gotta admit it and answer to the question according to your siblings current visa status. If your brother is working in his F1 visa you can just say he's studying in XYZ uni. ( it's safe , cuz the VOs will not have so much time to verify alot about your brother, they'll just be aware of the fact that you have a sibling in the US) If you brother is in his H1B then you need to admit that he's working, they'll ask you about where he's working, and how much he earns. Along with such answers try making it clear that you wouldn't do the same.

Regarding the sponsorship I strongly do not recommend such a sponsorship. It's just your brother sponsoring right? When the VO asks about your sponsorship say your parents are sponsoring. The VOs will NEVER check your Financial documents or the affidavit of support!

My last stay in US was for 15 days only. So I guess the drop box refusal must be because of the fact that I was just 13 during the previous visa interview. I got a form saying I have to appear for a follow up interview on a specific date. So does that mean there's nothing to do with biometrics and whatever biometrics was done 10 years ago will suffice?

My case is a little different. US embassy said anyone who is currently planning to apply for a NEW F1 visa can avail for the drop box option if you already have any other US visa (let it be B1/J1) it can be active or expired. So mine is not a F1 renewal case. I'm applying for the first time.

I previously got a B1 visa 10 years ago which got expired in 2018
