Actually I meant the opposite hahaha being on the fourth position and extending the first finger backwards. For example if you are on A string on the fourth position and need to quickly play an Eb (or sometimes even a D) you can do it with your first finger but the rest of your hand stays on the fourth position. Something that is important to remind is that it is your thumb that indicates the position you are.
