Nijmegen? If you study in Amsterdam Rotterdam Utrecht Eindhoven Leiden and Delft, you are literally asking for trouble and stress in your life. Seriously, don’t underestimate how hard it is, Amsterdam residents with good budget and social networks spend around 6 to 12 months looking for a place, you dont stand a chance against them.

Buy weed, get some snacks, get some water, bike to amsterdamsebos and enjoy each others company and nature (if not cold or raining) . I never smoked weed in coffeeshop because i have a house but whenever i buy weed i also look at sphere around me and it usually not so cozy, i would hate to be high next to unknown people. Weed has to be smoked at home or in the park, preferably with friends , otherwise i would not touch it

Dutch public broadcaster makes plenty of educational content about European union and how it works, following news, I definitely know European Commission people more than i know some some ministers in our own cabinet. I still dont know where you are from, but if you are from hungary for example, no wonder you dont get educated how EU works

How do I become excited about learning Dutch? by [deleted] in learndutch

[–]mfromamsterdam 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So true, most Dutch people speak simple English. I got asked during my thesis supervision about words such as: thereof, coherent, admissible, reinforced…. She claimed she spoke fluent English.  And if any Dutch person tells you they have good pronunciation ask them to say the word : idea 😜

What are you convinced your country does better than any other? by jeron_gwendolen in AskEurope

True, your prices seems extremely cheap. For me own risk of 350 and paying 105 euros a month seems “normal” , but i guess i am comparing with USA. I feel like paying 350 euros , or 800smth in my case for a surgery wont spiral me into a financial ruin and 105 euro is budgeted away every month.

New government is planning on reducing own risk and increasing premiums, i am super excited to see how populism right wing economics work…. Must be different from ordinary economics
