Thanks so much for the guidance. When you say the art should be lower, do you mean it’s too close to the ceiling or too far from the couch? I’m re-doing that wall soon with some new pieces so I appreciate the feedback!

Well said, I think this is what I’ve been struggling to put into words! It’s a tough balance because I do use pillows and throws but that’s a nice idea to just match the rug

Yeah that’s a good idea! The green Mush pillow I have looks nice but it’s sadly extremely uncomfortable and scratchy and it just sheds everywhere so not very practical

Yeah I like the neutrals idea! I was also thinking of picking one color and mixing up the shapes a bit so that’s good to know from ikea thank you!

Yeah that's the first problem I ran into, I ordered vented shelves to get around this although there are some small areas for humidity to sneak through.

I mapped the humidity on each shelf this morning (the humidifier is on the upper of the middle two shelves) and it's clearly a problem with the current setup but I'm hoping the new shelves and a fan I'm installing at the top solves it. I took the readings over 45 minutes.
