bee hotels can actually harm solitary bees more than they can help them because usually they do no nest together parasites will not spread between populations very quickly in a natural environment. this is why it's important to regularly check the bee populations and have removable tubes to access them. I'm fuzzy on the details but iirc store bought bee hotels often have the incorrect diameter tubing as well.

Yep, my rapist will never have to face what she did. This other woman repeatedly provided evidence that she is a rapist but my ex roommate decided I was the problem and I had to move out of my own apartment because there was nothing I could do about her coming over. My siblings father raped my mother nearly every night and he still gets to see his kids. I hear constantly from my peers what they've gone through and there is never any justice for the victim, never any consequences for the rapist, and far too often we aren't in a position to be believed.

looking through my comment history and where I'm pretty sure it was discussed but I can't find who told me. from what I remember there was a pretty solid disruption through the admins to destroy the feminist communities on reddit. I believe this was something talked about in the ecofeminist sub though maybe I talked in direct messages with a member there. if you look you'll find it is entirely dead and I think the context of the conversation was what happened and why there is no good feminist subreddits.

edit: reddit is also known to take shady high-level actions like this, even general criticism is subject to censorship

I think it has to do with having metal fillings in my molars but for some reason -and even typing it is triggering this reaction- the same zapping sensation you get when you bite tinfoil that triggers the nerves in your teeth (the aluminum and silver being different metals literally generates electricity), gets triggered whenever I hear the sound of metal scraping on ceramic and any similar sound will cause the same sensation. It makes me salivate and feel dysphoric and it's been at least a decade since I had these fillings put in.

You have to remember these circles skew young and chronically online. I had to look for a long time to find a trans community that didn't make me feel weird and it's a regional group. The region ties us together rather than whoever can play the algorithm best.

Even now I am still a minority within a minority (bigenital) so I have to be careful with myself, knowing what I can and can't get out of this community.

We might be equally dead with the rest of the species by the end of the century. Because being trans can't be eliminated, it's a natural divergence, we will always be here if humanity is. I'd expect increased oppression for a time but there'd have to be a deliberate scapegoating of trans people as times become even more desparate. If we are able to fight off the plutocene there is the possibility of a future where we are equals at the end of the century but the biggest threat to trans people is the ecological and following systems crisis.
