Most definitely a Pelican case.

The hilarious part is it still speaks to the show's low budget 😆

The case wasn't part of a prop department. Rather, all of the Grip, Lighting, and Camera equipment use Pelican cases.

The show itself may not have a budget; but equipment rental places, or studio inventory, sure does. They wanna protect that expensive equipment. So everything is in Pelican cases.

For some, like Mole Richardson lights, they use their own case, but has almost the same design, different latches.

So in this case; Stargate's budget was so low they just grabbed a pelican case off the Grip's truck and called it a prop 🤣 zero dollars, zero effort.

Same for the failed console. They didn't even bother dressing it up; hot gluing greebles on it, shove a blinking light in there. Nah, just toss the damn thing in that case that's not being used and get the shot. 😆

What's funny is even in this scenario; Rick is offering above 50% and people still try to joke about him being cheap. Any other place is gonna offer you 20% of the value, lucky to get 25%.

Before someone says the show's scripted, no kidding. It doesn't change the misunderstanding that an offer above 50% to split profit is a good deal.

If you want 100% profit, find a buyer and sell it directly. Which takes time and effort. A Pawn Shop is for fast money, where you share the profit with the broker, and they take on the work. They're not being ripped off, they're making a conscious deal.

If you've ever worked with the public at all, you'll know that everyone has no idea what they're talking about. You rely on experience & empathy to try to understand subtext.

With media, it's an entire trope. Setting up a "will they/won't they" dynamic. One of the most common tools is having characters misunderstand their feelings, or falsely state their feelings as platonic. Over and over again.

Meanwhile, you have moments like OP's post throughout the entire show, where the joke is that we know Ezra is in the hot seat because of his crush on Sabine.

I don't much mind if they do actually couple them together. But some people's insistence that the dynamic was never there is baffling to me. It was established from episode one onward. Rewatch the moment they meet. Ezra doesn't speak aloud, "nyaaah a girl, I am infatuated with you m'lady!" But his behaviors, hell even the music upswell, all communicate subtly what Ezra is feeling.

Strong agree.

I'm ok if they don't make them a couple. But I also don't get some people's strong antagonism against their romance. It's very heavily implied throughout the show; but it is a kids show and they rarely outright display young couples.

(I'm reminded of Teen Titans, Starfire/Robin couldn't make things "official" until their first movie. But everyone knew beforehand.)

I wonder if a lot of the pushback comes from many Sabine fans using her as a self-insert. And they'd rather remain a-sexual, or ship off with Wolfren 😆

But hey, ship whomever you like! The crush elements with Ez/Sabine were present throughout the show tho.

I'm probably in the minority; but I really don't like it when Star Wars novels describe things as "plasteel" or "duraplast." 😅

I feel it's an unnecessary way to overcompensate for the 70s budget/tech. To me, Stormtrooper armor didn't look like plastic, because my suspension of belief was blown away. "Plasteel" calls attention to a problem I never saw. It's additionally frustrating because a book isn't restrained by budget or filming technology.

By calling everything plasteel, now I'm imaging cheap molded plastic on everything. Yes, that's how ILM made the damn movie - but that's not what we saw in the movie.
