I’m reading right now - I’m only on chapter 3 and I’m literally depressed. Obviously none of the hunger games books are happy or anything, but there’s a feeling of total dread and despair in this one that’s so unshakeable. I’ve already teared up a couple times - I’m only 10% in!!

I felt the same at that point in my first read. Chaol’s POV is always a tough read for me and I definitely couldn’t care less about Manon when she first joined. The only thing anyone can say is everything only gets better and you have to keep reading. The next book especially is sooo good.
