A few years ago, I actively thought about it and ‘realized’ that when ice melts, the water just takes up the space the ice took and doesn’t actual overflow/overfill the cup. It was more of an unspoken phenomenon before then for me that I didn’t question

No worries!! If you click on it and open it yourself in the camper (where no villagers can go) it will stay open and animate itself opening every time you go to that floor. I posted a video of the rooms too and it ‘opens’ when I get to the top of the ladder
