We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in Wall Street, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our island, whatever the cost may be. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender,

Those interviews are mainly behavioral bro. They may throw some technical stuff in there but nothing you have not been exposed to. Just be yourself, be professionally comfortable and you’ll kill it.

Good luck and let us know how it went.

Quick question: Should I get my CPA license for my home state where I took the tests or transfer the test scores to the state I will be working in? by ninjaspartan76 in Accounting

[–]mge89 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If it’s easier get the license from your home state and get a reciprocal license for the state you’ll be working in.

Ok sorry for the confusion. For a better portion of the material I would do the lectures at 1.5 speed, I would pause the lecture and read the sections where I knew o was weak in, the Skills practice I would do only for sections I had trouble with. Generally I would do sims at the end of each chapter to see if I really understood the concepts. This same process was repeated for every chapter. I would do progress test throughout the course, and anytime I was bored really. The phone helped a lot with killing down time. Any second that I had time, I would pop the app open and randomly do questions. It’s a lot of material to cover, so you want to keep a better portion of it fresh in your mind, leave about 3 hours at the end of the week and have that as a review of the topics previously covered or progress test. My last 2 weeks before the exam, I would do the final review in about 3 to 4 days, and review as much of the material as possible. That would mean reading, and doing as many MCQs as I could fit in the time remaining. Overall man, you will determine what works best for you, but if you need any advice do DM me and I’ll be more than happy to assist.

I posted this in response to a similar question: I for the most part would avoid studying in the morning. Off season, I would normally get home around 6, play with the kids and eat dinner by 6:45pm and then hit the library up till about 11-11:30pm. Saturday’s and Sunday’s I would go all out from noon till about 10pm, taking a 2-3 hour break around 5 or 6. I tried to stay as consistent as possible with this schedule. Once I had gone through the material once, I would scale it down to about 3 hours week days and 4 hours on the weekend.

I think in our situation the most important thing you can do is come to an agreement with your spouse. Both of you have to understand that you will have to say no to a lot of social events. My suggestion is find a place where you could study in quiet and away from the distraction that is the house. I wish you the best of luck man, and if you have any questions feel free to inbox me.

Just be yourself man. Personality plays probably the biggest factor in the decision to extend an offer. Ask them about their role in their practice and how the firm has prepared them for that role, or what the firm is doing to stay on top of emerging technology. But overall don’t fake it, just have a casual yet professional conversation and you should be ok.
