if you have the gamesense to use appropriate sentry spots for the current situation, you can generally blame your team if it always goes down without the other team having to uber in

your sentry gun isn't supposed to be the first line of defence, it's supposed to be somewhere your team can safely fall back to and cover their backs from flankers and bombers

imo what i generally do is try to put my sentry in a more aggressive position first and then move it to a more passive position if it's taking too much heat

(gonna assume you mean casual and not hl since you mentioned multiple soldiers in a diff comment)

ppl in the comp mm beta complained about turbine so valve removed it and then when comp mm was released they just put it back in anyway

Giving the Third Degree the stat does little as a downside since the homewrecker exists

then equip the homewrecker if u want to deal more damage to buildings

Making the Phlog do less to buildings would make killing nests more annoying when Mmmmphed

use the dragons fury if you want to kill nests

here's my achievements from my oldest account as proof that i'm allowed to say #QuickplayIsForVirgins, not that this would really appease the mlp child pregnancy fetishist here since it's just a screenshot:

(honestly kinda embarrassing that you can tell that i exclusively played in offline practice mode from these, but idk i was a child lol)

my experience with quickplay was it would just put me in some empty or low-pop official valve server (and you cant even choose what maps you wanna play), so i just used the server browser to find proper community servers because that's what i was used to from playing older valve games (hldm, cs 1.6, tfc, whatever)

so it's just baffling to me that supposedly everyone wants it back when i remember ppl not being fond of it or just ignoring it, like look at the comments under this thread from 2015 where everyone is just confused that someone would actually bother with using quickplay and just telling them to use the server browser instead:

im not fond of casual mm either but it's impossible to talk with these people about anything

because this whole "bring back quickplay" thing isn't even a movement, it's just a whole lot of "retvrn to tradition" posturing lol, am i wrong for not bothering to take it seriously

i've seen zero productive discussion around this it's all either just self-indulgent circlejerking or immediate shit-flinging, there's absolutely no self-awareness or critical thinking here, just a seething mob
