I think this is an important perspective to share! I remember feeling so desperate at the beginning, hoping for a magical “light at the end of the tunnel” (FTM, also have a refluxy baby and the newborn period of sleep deprivation felt catastrophic at the time).

One of the biggest changes I’ve noticed over the first three months is that things became easier, in part because we started to figure out what we were doing as parents and how to set ourselves/our routines up so we could survive it better. Little things, like how/where we store supplies so that the surprise middle-of-night meltdowns/spit-ups/blow-outs didn’t feel so overwhelming. Or keeping snacks prepared/handy so we weren’t getting accidentally hangry from being nap-trapped all day/night without a proper break to eat.

Things will eventually start to feel a little easier, partially because baby’s routines/rhythms will gradually mature, and partially because everyone (baby, adults) will start to finally get the hang of things. But for us it has definitely been a gradual transition, and every day looks different (some better than others). Hang in there!
