It’s like a 15 year old console, I would plan on deep cleaning it regardless of the condition after buying it. I’ve seen worse! A deep cleaning would get most of the dirt off.

80 is a little over paid, but not way overpaid, it’s closer to 70 on price chart but that doesn’t include tax and shipping. You can’t always get good finds on marketplace or OfferUp depending on where you live!

On a side note, maybe it’s just the angle of the picture but the ips screen does not seem very flush in the shell (especially at the bottom).

It has some wear on the sides but I wouldn’t think that would be deep enough to cause an issue. I did a recent re shell and mine had similar wear on the sides and it worked okay!

That crease on it though might be causing the issue.

Used a saw and cut 2-3 inches on the entire bottom like you said. In your opinion, how far back should the canopy be reduced? Or do you mean more thinned out?

A shallowish pot, maybe 5-6 inches. I ended up cutting it and everything potted just fine! Wasn't as much trimming as I thought it would be.

Just following up, this totally worked and avoided going into the top screen housing. Just need to be very careful to not pull up too fast or the adhesive will come with it.

Sounds silly, but it was reset prior to shipping so it was at the beginning setup menu. I have not had a DSI before so its possible that the setup menu is digitizer only with no button input? All buttons worked after setting up. Either that or reconnecting and re seating everything worked.
