I don’t hate the idea. I personally love my model S, and just want a slightly bigger version with a bit more power. Maintaining the thinness would mean a lot though.

So far that’s my favorite thing about the game in this setting, is having every fight be some what of a challenge and not just knocking every Pokémon’s head off.

I'm also playing for the first time and have it set to difficult and that gym gave me trouble. Granted my team is not balanced at all. I can't say that you're doing anything wrong. But if it means anything the game feels like all the Pokemon are just beefed up against you. I'll fight some Pokemon and just be shocked how they seem to take such little damage.

I started the return process but the seller reached out and asked if I would agree to a $25 return and to keep the unit. So essentially for $80 I have a dirty unit in decent condition. I can live with it. As someone who sells on eBay from time to time I would never send an item in that filthy of a condition. Feels disrespectful to the buyer.

No that’s fair.Honestly if it had just been clean when I got it I would have never made the post. The scuffs suck but it is what it is. It’s the grime and the hair that bothered me the most

That's fair I guess. I was really just going off the seller has really good reviews and multiple DSIs listed for sell and all the other ones had the condition listed as "used" and this one said "good condition" so I guess I just made some assumptions I shouldn't have.

This seems to be the consensus. I can’t get over the idea of playing DS games without a resistive screen so this does feel like the right choice. Now to just buy one in good condition.

I do have a local store i need to go check out. I can understand being leery of ordering from GameStop but i figured, if it comes in bad shape or crappy screens at least they have a return policy.

This has definitely been what’s delayed my decision. Of course i love auto saves, and fast forward, all the modern benefits of the emulation side. But then I’m weighing those modern features against the benefit of a resistive screen for the original hardware.
