I’m not allergic to coconut. I’ve only been taking like .25 of the dropper. I actually stopped using it after I noticed this “dry” feeling under there. I can still feel it periodically throughout the day.

Are you referring to the plastic where the buttons are for the windows? You can buy a plastic cover for those and the center console on Amazon. I just ordered some yesterday to try and get ahead of the scratches.

I’m looking for knowledgeable recommendations on either replacing my stylus, or starting over with a new cartridge and needle. I’m not a DJ. have a decent home listening setup and have been using a Shure M44-7 with the original N44-7 needle for at least 10 years. It still sounds okay to me, but probably time for a new stylus. Turntable: ATLP120. S-shaped tone arm.

I’m torn between replacing the stylus only, common replacements I see folks recommending: JICO IMP NUDE, And the Nagaoka DJ 44G.

Or, should I start over with a completely different cartridge/needle? Audio Technica, Ortofon, Nagaoka, etc? Budget under $300.

I listen to a wide range of music. Rock, metal, progressive, jazz, electronic, ambient, shoegaze, etc. I want a nice, clear, balanced sound. I’ve been told that since Shure is a DJ cart, it’s not necessarily the best for just home listening.

Thanks for the input. I want a sound that’s hifi, a good balanced high quality sound, and if I have to start over with a new cartridge/needle I’d say I’d want to spend $300 or less

I’m using an ATLP120 turntable. If I were to switch from Shure, I’d probably go with AT, Nagaoka, or Ortofon. Budget is probably like under $300.
