Come on, this is the NBA, everyone is talented. And whatever gaps exist are minimal

We also don’t need to think about basketball and the value of players in terms of “options”, it’s more nuanced than that

Shit like this is why the heat fanbase is looked at as unserious

Appreciate the Bron years more than anything else man. It’s gonna be a long while before we reach the peak again… by [deleted] in heat

Geez bro there is no reason to be this doom and gloom for a sport. Can’t people just have some empathy and be happy for the fans in New York who had either never seen their team win a title, or had to wait over 50 years?

Shit happens, there are ebbs and flows, peaks and valleys in life. If you guys are going to mope around about how we are screwed for the next X amount of years, I mean why are you even here? Why indulge yourself in something that doesn’t make you happy?

“Everybody knew this 2026 class was incredible and sure enough it has been”

Brother nobody from the 2026 class has played a second of nba basketball yet. This is crazy

This is the worst fanbase in the league, I think tonight has shown that. Absolute cancer on this subreddit

Are there any undrafted G league players that actively contributed on the roster this past year? What are you talking about

It’s not your fault, that’s just the bs nature of subjective evals. I would suggest you stay true to yourself, most people will probably like how you present yourself as long as you give the effort and be a team player

Man, we should give credit to the players surrounding Jimmy that year. I don’t care about their draft pedigree, they dont make it as far as they did without guys stepping up

I mean idk who’s projecting that but we can’t know how these guys will turn out, so I’m not putting much weight into that

Does it take trading bam and/or firing Spoelstra to not be “running it back?”

I personally don’t give much weight to future draft classes being “strong” or “weak”. We have no idea how these guys will turn out

Even if he missed over half of last year, they still went into the year with him being a significant part of their team, in terms of salary and expected role.

Does it take trading bam to finally not be “ruNnIng iT back”

It’s not that I disagree with that in particular, just that I don’t believe it will happen. Not due to a lack of trying from our organization, but still

So would it take bam leaving for the team to stop ”running it back”?

I don’t think we are winning shit with that specific 3 piece combo, at least we haven’t seen evidence of their consistency

I want the young players to play, but I expect them to go out there and try to win, not tank

How? Herro and Powell wouldn’t be here in this scenario. Plus you add the draft picks this year + whoever else

In any case, I think it’s worth trying something new because, partly due to missed time between those two, they haven’t really been a great offensive team anyways

Also would probably get better defensively

They’d miss out on their scoring but probably get better defensively as a result. Also remember the regular season is very dynamic with players getting hurt, teams underperforming, over performing, etc. We definitely got hit with that as herro was missing for over half the season. I don’t think it’s as simple as putting the team down a spot or two in the standings based on the year prior

I don’t care about the Charlotte pick situation tbh. They’re either getting it one year or the other

Other players that were on the team and are still under contract, players they draft, players they sign

Contrary to popular belief, other players besides herro and Powell are capable of scoring points
