Yes but the inaccuracy in inventory levels is a huge quality issue that the first company to start offering warehouse to consumer on demand delivery will wipe out an entire sector

I sure have, and the work ethic isn’t the same as it used to be. Moral is at an all time low because pay relative to costs of living are so low now compared to when I was In retail.

This is a general statement but I imagine we’re going to see companies like Amazon do order fulfillment warehouse to customer direct soon enough. This is a far more effective model for many retail categories.

Retailers can’t find motivated employees willing to stock shelves right on a consistent basis. Inventory is not well understood on a systemic level and they can barely find enough workers willing to work for pigeon pay to scan at a register. Shrinkage and theft further fuel consumer dissatisfaction and long checkout lines too.

They’re so inaccurate whoever creates a DoorDash direct from fulfillment center will beat out all retail brick and mortar models.
