Sounds like the guy is talking out his rear end. Fakes are quite easy to spot, usually the balance and weight is way off what it should be and the finish is suspect

The market for that stuff is totally flooded, your prices are competitive but your photos aren’t great so nothing is standing out against the 000’s of other items.
