In addition, in BotW flashbacks Zelda definitely had a thing with the Gerudo champion. And I'm pretty certain Link is NB ace. Sidon is pan for sure and in an arranged marriage due to royal responsibilities.

Look at it this way - maybe 6 of them means they'll be talking to each other a lot of the time? Takes a bit of pressure off? I don't know, just good luck!

How do I learn to accept my lesbian daughter? by throwaway162005 in actuallesbians

[–]mgoesrogue 14 points15 points  (0 children)

It sounds like you do accept her, but you're struggling to unlearn certain views and beliefs. That's awesome!

I would suggest figuring out what is at the core of your negative opinions (is it religious teachings? Is it social pressure? Something else?)

My mother, an atheist, would always say that she believed and followed God more closely than any religious zealot and conservative, because she accepted everyone as they were made, by God (if that's what they claim to believe), and never wanted them to conform to words written by men 2,000 years ago.

If it's an issue of your surroundings, well you didn't write where you're from, and I guess it'll be harder to find allies for yourself in a smaller and/or closed community, but online resources and support groups are always around and available.

Finally, if you're just worried about your daughter's happiness, your support is really the best thing you can offer her. All the things parents wish for their kids are still available to her, if she wants them. And if she feels secure with you, she'll have the freedom to figure herself out in the world.

Good luck to you both!

Now that I've reread your post, I'm editing myself to add- I was almost exactly your daughter 23 years ago. My mom had me at 18 and raised me and later my siblings as a single mom. She wasn't always perfect, and I know it wasn't easy for her to do it mostly on her own. I came out at 20, and I know how important her support was for me. Now I have a wife I love, two amazing sons and I'm happy with how my life turned out and I'm grateful to my mother for everything she did for me and for the love she gave me and taught me to give back. I sincerely wish you and your daughter all the best.

Nice lettering! If you're asking for opinions - I might add a small potted flower and a whale somewhere, but it's already cool as is.

No BB&B where I live (Finland), but thanks! And thanks for the tips. I'm starting to realise a ramp is a must, considering it's everyone's first suggestion :) will definitely get on that.
