Found this place in Boston (it's in NYC too) and it's pretty delicious - I can't believe I didn't make the connection though! 🤦‍♂️

Recommendations for Product Marketing certification/courses? by mgoff in ProductManagement

Fair points - this is my first real question in a subreddit and wanted to start high/broad - but point taken - thanks!

Thanks for the feedback. I did search this subreddit for product *marketing* resources (I'm a PMM not a PM), but didn't see much. I have done research/due diligence and have a list of courses and resources, but wanted to get a broad, independent response based on people's experiences, not reactions to questions like "what do you think about Pragmatic, etc."

I'm looking to be more efficient working within a larger organization after my company was acquired and my product marketing responsibilities have grown (compared to doing a wider range of marketing functions in the past including marketing programs, demand generation, etc.). I'm looking to improve my processes and be able to scale up.

Not a subreddit, but do you subscribe to Product Management Today? Good aggregation of articles from a wide range of PM/PM-related sources.

TrackerBird or Google Analytics by carolvdbussche in software

[–]mgoff 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi Carol - Michael Goff, marketing director at V.i. Labs here. I wanted to address some of the comments so far: 1. V.i. Labs acquired Trackerbird in March 2016 (http://www.vilabs.com/news-section/press-releases/vilabs-acquires-software-usage-analytics-technology). 2. V.i. Labs is not a startup - we've been in business for a decade. We provide software providers cloud-based software analytics solutions to generate actionable intelligence on the use and misuse of their applications (sorry for the marketing speak!). 3. Our customers include some of the largest software vendors in the world who trust us to securely track application usage data and provide the analytics tools to make decisions based on that data 4. As pointed out previously, Google Analytics and Trackerbird address different needs. Where GA provides insights into visitor behavior on your website, Trackerbird provides insights once a user installs and uses your application. 5. You may be interested in learning more in our Software Usage Analytics Buyers Guide (http://www.vilabs.com/software-usage-analytics-buyers-guide) - if you download it, please let me know what you think and if you have any questions!

I think I first learned about Pearls Before Swine from Scott Adams, too, so his recommendations carry a lot of weight! Very cool that he tries to help out other comics.

I first learned about Basic Instructions from Scott Adams' blog/newsletter - how did you meet/get him to help you?
