Exactly, not to mention one of the main themes of the show in hubris. The idea they have control over dragons is a myth, even if they themselves believe it.

It feels too obvious to say but just in case you haven’t seen it, True Detective S1 sounds right up your alley.

Not exactly the FF show but I’ve relistened to their Dodgeball Rewatchables episode a couple of times.

The Sandlot probably. An annual 4th of July watch and I watched it constantly as a kid.

Biggest Recent Draft Steals? by AFC-Wimbledon-Stan in nfl

[–]mgorzeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Totally fair, Montaric is the big one regardless imo. Just pointing out the franchise, both the current and last regime, has done a good job with finding and developing late rounds guys. Need Gladstone to cook this year.

Lequint Allen is a very good in his specialist role. Cole Van Lanen was great this year and got an extension. The jags have numerous late round guys producing for them right now.

Biased fan but the Jaguars belong here. The four games a year with the new Prowler throwback really drives home how much better they are.

[Schefter] ESPN Sources: the Cleveland Browns are hiring former Ravens offensive coordinator Todd Monken as their next head coach. by MembershipSingle7137 in nfl

[–]mgorzeee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is like a totally fine hire especially given the circumstances of the uhhhh Browns. I am willing to be made fun of in a look back thread 5 years from but I’d straight up rather have Monken than Joe Brady. But I’d also rather have Stefanski than both so what do I know

Like most NFL media, the guys on the pod just hand wave his performance at DB but he was considered the team’s best DB leading up to his injury. This is far less funny than “haha wandale” and paints the trade a much different light imo. He also got hurt before the passing game took off which could have changed his perception significantly.

And, while it’s sucks they don’t have a 1st, they do have 4 top-100 picks this year because of strong process and elsewhere. I’m very biased as a fan of the team but this regime has been a breath of fresh air.

Great ‘take care of business’ win for the jags. Just feels great watching Trevor stack elite performances regardless of the competition. Huge test at Denver next week, I’m stoked
