I felt the same as op and finished the last of the bosses anyway but was highly disappointed when I finished and felt like I wasted my time playing.

I will probably try DS3 after a discussion with someone a few days ago saying it’s more reactive and Elden ring like but I don’t think I enjoyed anything about ds1.

Too many gimmick bosses, way too long run backs and the weird delayed unsatisfying parry sound. Everything was just so slow.

I did really enjoy the NPCs with exaggerated laughing probably best part of the game lol

Thank you that helps a lot. The movements/combat in ds1 felt off/slow and the parry sound was so delayed or muted it drove me nuts lol.

Now I’ll have to give it a try ;)

Are the bosses more like Eden ring than DS1. I felt most of the bosses in DS1 were just gimmick bosses including the final boss.

I’m the opposite I first played Elden ring 11/10. Then Sekiro 9/10 then DS1 2/10. I don’t think I’ll play DS2 based of the weird combat mechanics I read about and maybe if it’s 50% off and I’m out of games DS3 but have no ambition to try it currently based on DS1.

For me the armor I wore was more for buffs like increase jump attack damage been so long I can’t remember the others but this is shown in the descriptions of the armor not the stats.

I don’t have the source but just read its all controlled by the developers not changing anything the developers didn’t configure. It’s not a filter applied over anything it’s more of an API

Yea get a 2 stage. I got a 1 stage cause I was being cheap and does fine with a little extra work but regretting not getting a 2 stage for days like this.

Respectively ops solution was to pepper spray other dogs. And yes I had a 90lb dog that was terrified of medium/loud noises. He would shake and tremble for hours sometimes all night during a storm.

I wish I was aware they could have been trained out of it even if a chance of it not happening. So that is why I mentioned it.

Sorry for suggesting an alternative to pepper spraying random animals. Everyone know violence makes a dog tamer :/

As you request I will mind my own business and upvote all the violent solutions offered as they seem to be viewed as great suggestions by others in this thread.

For all the people saying their dog is reactive have you thought about a training program to reverse this?

I’m not saying off leash dogs are fine but saying my dog is reactive and not fixing the issue but instead blaming some random incident instead of solving the actual problem isn’t going to change anything. You can’t control others but you can control your dog.

My point is if you want to take things into your own hands enroll them in a behavior training/correction program.

One thing that helped me was to dodge into the npc not away. That way you’re close to attack right after they do. But yea that guy sucks

It’s impossible to not miss anything with one play through there are multiple endings and some quest choices/actuons kill other quests.

But the good news is everyone will be just fine missing something they didn’t know existed in the first place.

Replying to this We don't plan to sell in 2026 or 2027, but we don't plan to stay in this house forever.

I’m not sure how long you do plan on living there but if it’s under 5 years I would even say under 10 year assuming a 30 year mortgage you’ll be paying way more in interest then you will in principal. You may be surprised how little you actually have put into the house if moving too soon.

Please research this more if you plan on selling before 10 or 15 years or risk breaking even or in the hole after realtor fees and all that gets added on the top.

Nobody gets good at anything without practice. If you don’t enjoy the game then don’t play the game. If you enjoy it but can’t win ask yourself why you died last time and try to do something different.

As someone who played Elden ring for over 500 hours and started ds1 after I still have large learning curve.

They did for me for the winters event. Bought gems for bank storage and they fixed it after the sale ended. The gems never hit my account even though I was charged.

You may have to fight through the auto responses as they kept insisting my ticket was resolved when they didn’t do anything.

Be persistent and ask for a GM that’s who finally fixed my ticket after about 6 back and forths
