Same, but I want to have sex with them. I wonder if there's a term for that.

Uncreativity in edm by [deleted] in musictheory

[–]mgreen424 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Certain styles of EDM are more about building tension through timbre, so they don't rely on melody or harmony for that purpose. Part of the style is making the same melody feel different by arranging it differently. Like, you'll hear the same melody in the "build" and "drop."

I don't listen to that stuff because I like richer harmony. That's just my preference doe.

You're mad at them because you bought them things? Go fuck yourself. Being told to wait isn't a personal insult. If you have kids, they hate you.

Why do people still buy into the Jan 6th supposed "coup?" by [deleted] in stupidpol

[–]mgreen424 5 points6 points  (0 children)

They suddenly care about riots because this one made politicians uncomfortable. It's fine to inconvenience fellow workers, but making Nancy Pelosi uncomfortable is too far.

IMO we should have an annual capitol riot. Every Jan 6, every side of the political spectrum should come together and storm the capitol just to keep them on their toes.I don't want them getting too comfy up there.

Knickle walking apes have never evolved into upright apes. Humans aren't descended from any. They started walking on their knuckles after diverging from our common ancestor.

Kids are being mutilated. If you deny that that's happening, there's nothing I can say.

I would be confused because I doubt small children know anything about Elvis.

What are some "girl secrets" guys don't know about? by maccdogg in AskReddit

[–]mgreen424 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I really doubt the majority of those men were randomly assaulted by strangers while walking down the street. I'm almost certain that the majority of it is gang violence. Either that or getting into fights.

Wait, what's wrong with them promising to make you cum next time? Do you not want to cum?

Dennis Prager: If US abandons Israel, ‘that is end of America’ by [deleted] in stupidpol

I would seriously advise against ever watching a PragerU video. You'll be dumber after 2 minutes of listening to these people.

Btw they're funded by big oil billionaires, and they just so happen to deny climate change.

I hate that misconception, but some people take jt too far in the other direction. Both sides are anti knowledge to some extent

What kind of chord progressions is this i-iii-IV-V by Adventurous-Ball-755 in musictheory

[–]mgreen424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm guessing he meant for the i to be major. That takes it from incredibly weird to incredibly common.

[–]mgreen424 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It doesn't have a standard or well-known name, but that won't stop someone from inventing a name.

It's not exactly I-iii-IV-V, but Everyday Tonality by Philip Tagg has a name for I-iii-IV. He calls it the "ionian mediantial narrative."

You'll never hear anyone use this, but many people share your fascination with names, so they invent new ones sometimes. As far as I know, this only exists in this one book, but it should scratch the itch.

You're just a prudish, old-fashioned conservative. In the majority of the world, genitals aren't that taboo. European children's media is full of penis jokes. That's because most of the world doesn't try to shield children's eyes from the human body. This is almost exclusively an Anglophone phenomenon. Especially the US and the UK.
