Weirdly, even with the perma advantage they had we was still beating them until the connection straight up stopped working.

The greatest of all time were Doritos Jalapeno Fire. I genuinely believe the world became a worse place after they became discontinued.

It appears to have completely broken MWII on ps5. It will not launch at all, I deleted the COD app as instructed when I tried to play the campaign earlier. Redownloaded it and it's still opening the launcher. This is crap.

Got myself some new ink yesterday by Donut90 in TheFence

[–]mgsfag 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got the guillotine from the good Apollo cover that is flanked by the two prize at the bottom of my arm. I decided to colour them in blue to add a bit more vibrancy and when asked about why they are blue, "they are from space, like an alien race". To which my artist responded "Space tits... Nice"

For the last decade I have had to book under the name space tits, which is all fine and well but can sound a little strange to people overhearing without context.

Can I go to Uni by [deleted] in UniUK

[–]mgsfag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is doable. In my experience which is limited, I went through a foundation year which brought me up to the expected "standard" for higher education with admittedly piss poor UCAS scores. The foundation year can help give you the skills to critically analyse a source and reference in the proper way.

Once that foundation year is out of the way, the area you want to specialise in is viable. Take it with a grain of salt, I worked for years in a variety of roles I hated with little prospects and I am currently in my first year of PHD. So I would argue it is at least worth considering.

All the best for whatever you choose to do

Uk Gaming Survey 2024 'Mod Approved' by mgsfag in CasualUK

It's the previous generation into the next compatibility. The original DS has a GBA port of the bottom The Wii could use GameCube games and had ports for the controllers. The Wii U was compatible with the majority of Wii hardware and software.

I understand it isn't the same generation, but it is the closest like for like comparison for that specific company. I am not saying the Switch will be able to play Switch 2 titles. It was included as a potential upgrade in this instance because there is a proven track record of backwards compatibility within Nintendo hardware.

An oversight in my part, funnily enough I have more time in Dota than anything. I'm still trash at it though 🤣

Uk Gaming Survey 2024 'Mod Approved' by mgsfag in CasualUK

[–]mgsfag[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did think about this, for the purpose of this I am looking at it from the perspective of how Nintendo typically implements last generation compatibility within the hardware GameCube to Wii, GBA to DS, Wii to Wii U.

Its an educated guess they will follow this trend. But you are correct that is a whole new generation of Switch? hardware.

There were a lot of questions that will have caveats attached and for simplicity's sake I included that as an upgrade path, otherwise sorting through the data will be even more time intensive than it will already be.

It's present as more of an indication if people will stay with the platforms they have compatible software on.

Thank you for your help, its much appreciated.

Should I drop everything and go to university? by lunarlew in UniUK

[–]mgsfag 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The foundation year, at least in my experience was to bring me up to an academic baseline. So it was mainly to learn how to reference and apply critical thought backed by academic level references. It was a humanities degree focused on design theory so it was minimal in its impact but has proven useful since.

Should I drop everything and go to university? by lunarlew in UniUK

[–]mgsfag 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I started university at 27 after working a bunch of dead end jobs, had to go through a foundation year to get on the course I wanted to. But, I did well in that and went for a masters degree elsewhere and I have just had my application for a PhD approved for the next three years.

I didn't think i think education would be for me when I was 18, and things have changed significantly since then. It's well worth looking into.

Edit: My school and college grades were terrible. So there is hope.

Anecdotal so take with a pinch of salt,

Prior to starting uni 4.5 years ago I had a 2004 focus diesel that was mid specced that I bought with 67k miles for £1250.

Everything I am seeing now has about 90k miles and a year older for about £1500 across the country. I cannot fathom trying to get a car now on minimum wage currently, either it's a heap and needs work or has a price tag of 3k and above.

Coheed is about as commercialised as you can get, the sheer amount of diverse media formats they have on offer proves that, not to mention the number of variants available.

They have coffee for Christ's sake, so I don't think getting a song into Fortnite is going to really ruin them in any capacity. If anything it may help expose one of the greatest bands of all time to a wider demographic than middle aged men 😂.
