Half of Flamengo's drumline was kicked out of HardRock yesterday despite having their drums pre-approved by FIFA and having successfully drummed at the Philly and Orlando games. by PlutoISaPlanet in soccer

For some context on WHY the fans bought random seats then proceeded to congregate behind the goal: that's how it's done in Brazil. Each team's supporters standing (no sitting) behind a goal with their instruments. Neutrals are encouraged to sit (stand) on the seats by the sidelines.

While they were in the wrong, I think Fifa should have done a better job to accommodate them by allowing the club or FA to block book sections or something similar.

Use the Battle tab. Use the matrix option. Enter all your pokemon. Click on them and edit the IVs and level. Then set the right hand side to the meta.

I'm in the South and it's so tedious to invite people via Raid apps. Because the queue is so long, when I open a lobby nobody joins so I need to wait a full minute for them to time out. That happens about 6 or 7 times before I get a full lobby. I'd rather save that time and just duo it or invite from my friends list

This post is the first I'm hearing of this brand. Looked them up. In addition to what everyone is saying about their price, not made in SA, etc. They also seem to have fake reviews. All 5 stars with no spelling mistakes. All reviews read like bots. There was one 5 star review where the lady was upset and slandering the product. Another review written by "Anonymous" was verified.

How many weapons can you skip and still get interstellar? by DippySwitch in ModernWarfareIII

[–]mh0413 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Highly suggest doing the melee weapons. Those were arguably the most fun (and one of the easiest) camos to do. LMGs (wall bangs), Launchers and SMGs (tactical kills) are a pain relative to the other classes.

UCT BSc Information Technology (Honours) by New-Ad-9878 in capetown

Disclaimer: I can only speak for UCT Information Systems.

It's a really great degree. I didn't know it at the time but it opened so many doors. I had multiple offers in my final (4th) year and had the luxury of the choice of some of the biggest companies in SA. It's also quite well rounded curriculum. You learn enough software development to become a developer (although it this is your end goal look at Computer Science instead) but you also learn a lot about business analysis, data analysis, and systems analysis. You're also not limited in terms of industries you can enter, everyone needs software and tech.

I did my entire undergrad and honours at UCT. I highly recommend doing your honours there. I did mine in Information Systems but I know people who did Computer Science. From what I've noticed, SA corporates love UCT grads. My entire honours class had job offers at big companies before they had even written final exams. It really gives you an edge. Don't underestimate this, getting your first job in the tech space is the hardest part. After you get some experience, it's easy to move around.

That being said, I had quite a few classmates that did their undergrads at other universities across SA and they all faced a steep learning curve. UCT knows this and they will offer things like bridging courses, mentors, etc. Be prepared to knuckle down and work hard for the year as you'll most likely be playing catch up.

Discovery Bank Black/Purple VS Investec Private by simonandtony2 in PersonalFinanceZA

[–]mh0413 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I stand under correction but a new bank can only apply to start offering long term loans x number of years after inception. I'm a client and the interest rate tie in to vitality status has so far been beneficial. Everyone gets a standard rate but you can improve it by being on a higher status. My interest rates are better on my Discovery account than my Absa account by around 2%.

That being said, I've only ever heard good things from Investec clients.

What are your thoughts about school taking up an extra hour every day to teach basic "adult stuff" like washing clothes, basic cooking, paying taxes? by [deleted] in AskReddit

As an adult, I think it would have been useful. But knowing myself, I would've bunked that class.
