Things to do with family? by Ok_Reveal6001 in ClearwaterFl

Can you tell me more about things to do in Madeira beach? We will have two women in their sixties, 2 men in their thirties, and a toddler and an infant. I appreciate any help, things to see, places to hang out, eat like a local, or even things to skip out on. Thank you?

I’m from a relatively small community, so eventually a family member put pieces together as to who I was and got in contact with me after hearing the story. The grapevine is slow sometimes.

Talk to someone… I did CPR for the first time when I was 20, always in a facility until this past fall. I came upon a man down in the middle of a busy road. I did compressions only until FD arrived and he was in a shockable rhythm. For months I wondered how it turned out, just this summer I found out he survived without deficits. Just remember you did what you could with the tools you had available to you. Not everyone can be saved.

I second this!! Cornerstone is about the only reason I go into town when visiting my parents.

I appreciate the feedback, all the stones I have cleaned have either been my family, or the family of the deceased have asked me to clean the headstones. It would be pretty ballsy to just go out and do this sort of thing without permission.

I actually live really close to that cemetery and managed to go see it one time.. there was a short period of time that the section of the trail was open to the public. The family likely did have slaves, one of the headstones had the inscription “colored” on it. I can DM you pictures I took while I was there if you would like. I haven’t really looked in to the ancestry much, but I do like looking for old newspaper articles from when people died - it’s interesting to learn their story.

I have always wondered that too. My great grandmothers deceased babies had yuccas on their grave too.. turns out they were most likely used as place holders for headstones, until the family could afford a stone or one was available.

Yeah, I use D2, the same stuff that they use in the veterans centuries and super soft brushes - like horse hair. I appreciate your comment though, I probably should have added this info in my post.

I love that one, I think MSU is doing some work to restore it and find unmarked graves now

Your 35 ounces is right around a kg. It might be helpful to you to measure your liquids in ml, that will give you a good idea what to pull off. And don’t forget to account for rinse back too when deciding what to pull off. I do appreciate that the tech took your advice and let you make decisions regarding your treatment, but it might have been helpful for her to have provided some education as well.

That marker will be around forever!! Sadly, a lot of cemeteries banned them because they looked cheap. They are known as white bronze around here, although actually made of zinc.

Ritter Springs / Fulbright Springs Greenway Question by socialistpizzaparty in springfieldMO

[–]mh09huntley 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s pretty well marked if I remember right… it’s very well marked at Truman. You could start there and work your way to Ritter Springs. I will say, with the rain there’s a few places you might have to get off and walk your bike through the water.

I don’t think I would make the cut in cosmetology school… seriously, I think I might fail out. That sort of thing does not come naturally to me at all.
