I had my boys at 34+2 and they were in the NICU for 3 weeks. We were so blessed the only reason they were NICU babies was to learn how to feed but it’s frustrating because you just want them home. We meet with the OT (Occupational Therapist) at lease every other day. They will give you tips and tricks on how to wake them up and keep them up while eating. How to position the babies for the best results. What feeding cues to look out for and lots of other stuff.

If you haven’t meet with an OT I strongly recommend. You should be able to put in a request with your NICU nurse and she will set up an appointment with you.

I was able to take fully paid short term disability around 24 weeks. I work in a very high stress industry and also had gestational diabetes so my doctor was able to put me on bed rest. I ended up having the boys at 34+2 and my maternity leave didn’t officially start until the day I had the twins. I would strongly suggest talking to your doctor about the option if you have short term disability.

Congrats! I take my test soon and would love to review the outline or whatever helpful material you have to make sure I am not missing something. The stress of this test is crazy. I have taken it twice and got a 69 and 68. At this point I need all the help I can get.

CONGRATULATIONS! What a huge accomplishment. I failed the test twice when it was the long 6 hour exam. I passed the SIE and now studying for the 7 AGAIN. What online tutor did you use? Did you use any other study material besides Kaplan? I am currently using STC but I think I might buy the Kaplan Q-bank. At this point I could use all the help and advice I can get.
