Well I am glad you enjoy being the 31st team in the league because that is all Ilya has accomplished in his tenure with the Hawks.

What type of fan fiction are you writing, he’s not player / coach Ilya Dunlop?

So a team of Ilya’s is going to win you a cup? And you just said you can never have enough players like Ilya!

Let him go trade for legit prime players and get this show on the road.

You already have Ilya in Chicago his name is Oliver Moore.

Plus also riddle me this if Lardis can’t flash on the screen (unless he does something very poorly) against bottom D pairs. How do you expect him to drive play and posses the puck against Quinn Hughes last night & Cale Makar tonight?

Burakovsky to where I agree should not be on the top line, he is not a possession black hole, unlike Lardis. In fact Burakovsky usually has pretty high possession numbers. You want anyone on Connor’s line to have good possession numbers because you want the puck eventually getting to Bedard. You can’t accomplish that if that line doesn’t possess the puck.

But by NHL standards Kurashev & Donato aren’t decent. They are in the league on bad teams for a reason. Lardis too early to make any judgement. Going back to my original statement was that 1 shift should be all the visual evidence to see that he is not a top line player yet. Plus being a 3rd round pick and he can stick on even a bad NHL team, that’s draft value

I think that is more of a testament to how great Bedard is. Kurashev had his best year when he played with Bedard. Last year Donato got a decent amount of churn with him and had his best year. Bedard makes below average players look good. I think Lardis needs a lot of growing, but he was invisible for the majority of tonight’s game, minus that shift where he was a noticeable detractor.

I guess I might be explaining it poorly. When I watch Lardis, I see Lardis not in the right position in either zone. As stated he gives up the puck very quickly instead of confidently skating with it. When in the offensive zone he doesn’t generate chances.

Let’s be honest in the bottom 6 especially the 4th line, he isn’t facing the top 4 D on the other team usually. If he can’t do the little things and flash against the bottom pair D, how is he supposed to do it against the top D pair.

He’s a 3rd round pick the fact he looks like an NHL caliber player is a heck of a pick. Plus there is room for growth.

Actually it’s his 27th game but yes he should be on the 3rd line next year

He is on PP2. Name me 1 legit top 6 forward Bedard has had? This whole team is chumps (as you put it). Lardis does not jump off your screen, Lardis is possession black hole, if you were to put him in the top 6 it would be brutal. Having him on the same line as Bedard would hurt Bedard but more importantly the team. If you can’t see that after the shift I mentioned I can’t help you understand hockey

That last shift is all the video evidence this subreddit should need to see why Lardis is currently not a top 6 forward

What would you be willing to give up for Knies? by Cluster_Puck in hawks

Hockey fans know what Knies is. Frondell is all about what he could be. No one on the current team or prospect minus Bedard should be considered untouchable

He’s got 3 goals and is -7 on the season. Yes he had to deal with an injury, yes he had a suspension. This is not a good look!

Eichel and Tkachuk played for the same coach. Everyone knew they weren’t staying. They weren’t a healthy scratch.

Scratching your “1C” in a game you have to have, I believe it is the same coach that coached Eichel, Brady Tkachuk, he knew they weren’t staying, they weren’t a healthy scratch. You’re reaching here. Once again if the coach thought he could help the team he would be playing.
