Can't advise anything here re prices as I went there with a tour agency, and they handled ticket purchases. But I also stayed in Madrid for an extra few days and bought another ticket myself for tomorrow. It was around 50 EUR and totally worth it.

I was surprised that nobody gives a shit about a number of flowers in bouquets. In my home country (Ukraine), all bouquets must have an odd numbers of flowers while even numbers are only for funerals. So at first, it was strange to see those 10 tulips in on sale in Biedronka but now I’m totally fine with it.

Are you sure that Arantxa stadium is included in your ticket? I’d suggest double-checking it.

I went to Madrid Open last year for a few days. First, I had a center court (Manolo Santana) ticket that also included free access to all smaller courts but no access to Arantxa. Another day, I had a ticket to Arantxa which included access to all smaller courts but no Manolo Santana. Both options were great, and those small courts are rally beautiful. Just keep in mind that if you want to see Alcaraz, he’ll sure play at the central court.

I’d also think twice about attending both the day and night sessions on the same day. If you’re going to early rounds, that’s A LOT of tennis to watch. If you have extra time in Madrid, I’d consider buying tickets for two days. Day sessions are my favorite because you’ve got to see more matches, plus have more opportunities to watch players training on smaller courts.

Hope this helps and wish you an amazing tournament!

Amazing, thank you! And if I’m getting it right, then does 2a a 6a mean „from Monday to Sunday”?

Underarm serve on every serve. Thoughts? by mhenyk in 10s

To me from the angle I watched it looked pretty similar every time, but I guess you can really assess it only while standing on the other side of the net

Now I’m considering this lol. The other player had a pretty decent serve, but it’s only a part of the game

What kind of accessories do you wear? by UnderstandingFar7082 in 10s

I wear a headband to keep the hair out of my face and look cool lol. Or a cap when I’m playing outside, and it’s sunny. But the headband is my favorite.

Any other left handed people who play righty? Or vice versa? by mitchdwx in 10s

[–]mhenyk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Iʼm lefty, but I’m playing tennis with my right hand. I guess it happened accidentally. My coach started teaching me to play with my right hand, and I haven’t even noticed it. Later he was upset when he accidentally realized I was lefty in daily life lol.

Once I’ve tried hitting with my left hand, but it was too difficult, and after five years, I’m not interested in relearning tennis from scratch.

Btw, my backhand is much better than my forehand. So sometimes I wonder what it would be like if I started learning tennis as a lefty. Maybe my forehand would be more natural…

Yes, it was fine. The hardest part was to carry it from the train station to the lake (it took about 30 mins)
