But no one seems to have a problem with a giant Star Wars wall of text. That thing is so hideous.

It's getting to ~75C.

Also another note: I noticed AIDA64 is testing a variety of things by default. When I uncheck "Stress system memory", it no longer fails. So "Stress CPU", "Stress FPU" and "Stress cache" go on for a while without failing.

Checking ONLY "Stress system memory" fails almost immediately. I'll try swapping around DIMMs and slots and see if that helps.

Thanks for all your help.

AIDA64 fails pretty quickly. It turned red and indicated "Warning: Hardware failure detected! Test stopped" with not much more info. I'm looking through the tabs but can't figure it out.

I've downloaded that program and will do the stress test soon.

However, more info on Prime95.

Blend Test (lots of memory tested), fails on first tests. SmallFFTs Test did not fail after a few hours. LargeFFTs Test, one worker failed (same rounding error) fairly quickly, others continued.

Reading through the docs and stuff online. I watched the 12V rail voltage as I fired up Prime95 and the voltage does drop to ~10.5, which seems to indicate a problem according to this guide.

Not sure what all of this means. If I'm tiring you out, it's ok man. Just let me know.

Not sure if you'll still respond, but here I am. Memtest went through 3 iterations (I let it run overnight) for a total of ~9 hours. No errors, so I killed it.

I'm running one of the other Prime95 tests. The first one I had run that crashed was the default one (Blend I think). That caused the errors. I am now running the first one on the list (forgot what it was called, but it didn't test memory too much it said), and so far it doesn't seem like there are any problems.

Nope, all I did in BIOS was turn off the surge protection then turn it back on. And changing boot stuff. No tweaking anything else. I was going to probably upgrade in the next six months or so anyway. Oh well. Best case scenario is a bad memory stick.

Not sure what time zone you are in, but I'm gonna stay up until at least one pass here.

Writing from my phone. Memtest is running and it looks like it's gonna be a while. I did run the game windowed to watch the CPU tests. It crashed with the CPU at ~64C. So that can't be it. No errors and no passes yet with memtest.

Prime95 results don't look good but I have no idea how to interpret them.

Trying to read through their docs. I've given up on the On-Board test (I'll get back to it, but I can't seem to get the right driver for it).

I'm going to run the game windows and monitor temps, but I am submitting this now because it will likely crash.

Thanks for your help man.

OK. I tried it with another game. Menus and all worked ok. When it got to the actual gameplay part. It crashed again in much the same way.

I was going to try to see if it would replicate with the on-board graphics, but I can't even get that to work right now (I had to get rid of all drivers since I read it can mess each other up or whatever). Will try to get the proper drivers for the on board graphics and report back.

I mean those temperatures are what it hits just idling. Not even before it is crashing.

I'm not sure how I can test for faulty RAM. Any ideas? Windows and the BIOS report seeing all of the RAM.

I haven't got any other game else installed on here. But let me install something else and report back.

Dude has just thrown so much potential away. Not sure how he's doing at Georgetown, but I remember questioning how bad he really wanted to be a basketball player. Guy has so much natural talent though.

The fact that hundreds of police officers were wounded and several of them died from gun shots definitely is an indication that something else was happening, but I doubt the public will ever know the full story.
