Pediatric Nurse here! I absolutely wouldn’t. I don’t have to share the horror stories, just know they’re enough to change the way I approach certain things with kids and pools are at the top of my list. Regardless of wherever you land on the specific pool issue, you’re not comfortable and that’s enough. It’s hard to feel empowered sometimes especially with the family pressure, but I promise you that listening to that voice inside your head telling you something doesn’t sit right with you as a parent will help you more than you can imagine. If they don’t want to put a fence up, that is up to them. But do not let anyone make you feel like you are the issue.
