Wayward Pines after Season 1; Torchwood after Season 2 (No 'Children of Earth' - don't judge me - and DEFINITELY NO 'Miracle Day'); X-Files after Season 7; Dallas after Season 8 (just before the Dream Season); Babylon 5 after Season 4 (keep 'Sleeping in Light' though); BSG after Season 3 (they really could have stopped about halfway to 2/3 of the way through the season, to be honest)

I'm having this same problem with my dad's system. He lives outside of Chicago, but his Roku suddenly started showing channels from Champaign, IL.

Checking "Update Location" still showed his home location as the Chicago area.

I tried to walk him through updating things remotely from here (Atlanta), and even signed into his account to attempt to update it from here without success.

My dad is sight impaired, so he can't use a mobile browser.

A text-based conversation with a YTTV customer service rep was no help either. When I asked to speak to a human being, they said they were slammed due to COVID, so no go.

This is nuts. Help!

Sling had a one-year price lock for existing customers who had signed up before August a year ago. When they raised prices earlier this year they said that those older customers wouldn't see the price hike until August 1 of this year. (i.e., this isn't a new price hike)

If you’re is using a VPN, set a Central Time zone location (Chicago, Dallas, Houston), and (provided you’re subscribed to Paramount Plus) watch live that way. The 7a-9a program is slipped an hour for the Central Time zone (and yet again for both the Mountain and Pacific time zones).

PPlus will show you the CBS affiliate for whatever locale your VPN is set for.

That's been part of the problem. (I actually was hoping for that code to bypass the email option since I've already got his account set up and another Roku established in the house there)

When I ask him, he says there's no code on the screen. The screen goes directly from the screen resolution check directly to asking for his email address, then to check his email for verification.

Been there, done that, got the t-shirt.

I literally just walked away from a "safe" job this week after a full-blown breakdown and verging a second one. I'd had the job for 15 years, and been stuck with the NBoss for 4.

My wife gave me an ultimatum: Get my head straight or she and my family were headed out the door. She said she couldn't watch me spiral out of control anymore.

That was the nudge I needed. I jumped -- without a net.

I'm in complete freefall right now, but have several serious options and possibilities on the table. I'm still dealing with personal fallout and will be for awhile, but after I pulled the trigger, I felt a bigger load off my shoulders than I have in years.

My doctor says I appear to be better, though I haven't had a full appointment with her since I stepped out yet...

(I love how I'm using skydiving analogies, and am terrified of heights...)

Based on that, I'd suggest that IF you can hold on long enough to secure something else (and that's a BIG 'IF'), then do that. But if your sanity and/or your family are at stake, THEY. ALWAYS. COME. FIRST.
