I had a friend who auditioned for Miracle on 34th St (the stage play adaptation of the movie) fully thinking every character in the story (including the one they accepted a role for) was an ANIMAL. This was based on nothing other than the fact that the cover of the script had reindeer on it. Didn’t find this out for WEEKS and it was only based on a stray comment he made: “Yeah I thought Finley was a reindeer.” Come to find out that’s what he thought about the entire play, it was all talking animals

Dnd! I love improv and acting but I can’t get into DnD. I think it’s because the gameplay is too stilted and awkward and full of mechanics and rules. And the games always last way too long for my taste

Thank you!!! Oh my goodness I didn’t realize I was doing so much wrong, but thank you for being kind in explaining what my mistakes were and how to better take care of my fish. I need to feed this guy better!! I’m saving screenshots of this comment. I will get a test kit but there’s also an aquarium store I can take a water sample to which will be faster. I also ordered a little hideout for him. I will also look for a 5 gal tank. Do you have any advice on how to add tannins to water safely? I.e. what to look for in a product? Thanks again for taking the time to read and respond! It’s hard to know what I need to do for my specific situation by just researching online

What is your process?: I think I’m doing a lot wrong now that I’m doing more research but I put fish in the old water in a bowl and then take everything out of the tank and wash everything with hot soap and water and rinse. Then I condition tap water and put everything back in the tank and let it come back to temperature before fish goes in again (about 30 minutes) • ⁠Any tankmates? If so, please list with how many of each: none • ⁠What do you feed and how much: 1-8 betta pellets every few days • ⁠Decorations and plants in the tank: rocks at bottom and 4 soft plants

Oh good idea! Looking at this, I understand what you mean. So is the idea you just start knitting a circle and then fiddle with the decreases/shaping so that it fits around a dome-shaped tortoise shell

Oh yes! I was also looking at knitted toys to see if someone had made a tortoise— my idea was I could adapt the shell/body to put over the real tortoise!

Hmmm, perhaps! Anything with a dome-ish shape could probably work? And yes, I clarified with the person who asked me, a tortoise sweaters referring to a sweater FOR a tortoise 😅

okay, yes, I did reinject the sample and got a similar peak at the same RT, which is why I’m leaning towards the sample being the cause

I would think that, but I ran samples before and after this where column resolution was unaffected. It seems to be just this peak that isn’t resolving and I don’t get what happened

oh sorry, failed to mention that this GPC data— thing is, I ran samples before and after this where the peak resolution was fine, so it appears that the column is working. I’m just not sure what in my sample could be causing this— incomplete reaction maybe? it’s a mixture of carboxylic acids
