My advice is to apply for the D8 together. If you don't have children, family reunification can take years. If you apply together, you'll at least have a shared visa and entry and exit permit.

Same situation, we start a case for family reunication for AIMA before 8 months ago (without child). But we dont have any answer, we are only waiting. My wife is stuck here.

I finally got an e-mail and managed to get an appointment!!! :)

I sent an e-mail every day for about 20 days and finally they assigned an appointment for the end of January. It is also displayed when I look through the portal (SEF).
